Karen Norback has found more irregularities that have been confirmed by the City. In the Daily Camera today: "We want to see the signatures; the city didn't verify the signatures," said Karen Norback, who led the opposition to Issue A. Thursday, Norback requested access to the city's poll books, as well as the ballot envelopes in an attempt to verify voters' signatures. "We're deciding whether to file a lawsuit."
I'm checking with Karen and this is a public request for LDT (Lafayette Deep Throat) to contact me.

Maybe that is what they meant by: "This isn't the only avenue to stop this". Beating a dead horse will eventually produce nothing more than the same results, but with a black eye to the City. I'm not sure who Karen makes look more foolish, herself, or the City? I would like to think that a few things may get resolved through the planning process. This doesn't seem to be doing anything, but causing trouble, IMO.
Wow. That comment came from Cy. That says something. I agree with Cy and Frank (from an earlier post). It's time to move on.
Just because I don't want that area developed doesn't mean I think there is some radical way of forcing the issue. I would rather have other views accepted now that we will enter the planning process. I feel that the methods that are being used will soil the work of anyone else who opposes the development of this land to try and minimize impacts. The votes are in and the land will be annexed, it's now time to get involved in the planning, if you want to affect any change. This methodology just seems pointless. Or better yet... the point is to be bitter and exact some useless revenge.
Cy makes an excellent point. This is just the beginning of a long process where good planning can help to minimize the impact. We have an excellent planning commission and I know this development will get the full treatment.
